Job Title: Field Service Engineer – Telecare, Telehealth & Nurse call

Location: UK wide – Office based in London
Hours: 9:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday (occasional evening and weekend work with paid overtime)

Salary: £27,000
Reports to: Technical Director
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Company Car: Provided for business use only
Overnight stays: Required as needed

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and technically skilled Field Service Engineer to join our expanding team, specialising in Telecare, Telehealth, and Nurse call technologies. This role combines hands-on technical work in the field with office/home-based remote support and customer training. You’ll play a key part in delivering exceptional service to our clients, ensuring their systems are installed, maintained, and supported to the highest standards. Due to the nature of the role willingness to travel on a regular basis is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Field Support & Maintenance
    • Install, commission, and maintain Telecare, Telehealth, and Nurse call systems on customer sites.
    • Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime.
    • Conduct periodic servicing and system upgrades in accordance with company standards.
    • Conducting site surveys to evaluate site conditions and support project planning.
  • Remote Support
    • Provide telephone and online technical assistance to customers on office/home-based days.
    • Monitor systems remotely and assist with fault resolution.
  • Customer Engagement & Training
    • Deliver user training sessions for customers and caregivers to ensure effective use of technology.
  • Provide system demonstrations and promote best practices.
  • Technology & Innovation
    • Stay up to date with emerging healthcare technologies and identify new solutions aligned with company goals.
    • Support internal teams with insights and feedback from the field.
  • Brand Representation
    • Act as an ambassador for the company, promoting our products, services, and reputation.
    • Maintain a professional appearance and approach at all times, aligning with company values.
    • Assist with marketing email campaigns and driving engagement on office/home-based days.

Requirements

  • Experience in installation, servicing, or support of Telecare, Telehealth, or Nurse call systems (or related healthcare technology).
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Computer literacy, including basic networking knowledge.
  • Full UK driving licence (essential).
  • Willingness to travel on a regular basis with overnight stays when required.

Desirable

  • Relevant electrical/electronic or IT qualifications.
  • Experience training or supporting end-users in a healthcare or technology environment.
  • Familiarity with assistive living products and integrated care technology.
