HomeSight is a smart-camera that sits on top of your TV and is designed to help older adults live independently while staying connected with caregivers, family, and friends. The system operates through a TV-based platform, making it accessible for individuals with varying levels of technological skills
At the core of HomeSight, the device enables high-quality video calling and serves as an Internet of Things hub. This camera connects to various health devices like thermometers and pulse oximeters via Bluetooth and uses Low Energy. It also features motion detection, gesture and facial recognition, and far-field microphones for voice command recognition
The system includes environmental sensors that monitor room temperature, humidity, light, and sound, providing insights into daily routines. Additionally, it offers features like on-screen health reminders, photo and video sharing, and virtual community support. All data is managed through a secure, cloud-based platform, ensuring privacy and ease of use
